Customer Service Excellence

Thanks so much to Adele from Customer Service Excellence Ireland who called into us last Friday to present our Customer Service Excellence Certificate.

The photos above show Adele presenting the Certificate to Tracy, Damian and Mary who took one for the team! All three of them were lucky enough to be anonymously assessed on their phone techniques, customer service techniques, follow up regarding queries, and face to face meetings with Independent Assessors.  Thanks to their professionalism combined with the hard graft put in by the rest of the  team over the years to develop our social media, website, and hard-copy information we scored a whopping 95.4%

Our thanks also go to Galway Technology Centre, as their reception skills were highly rated, along with the overall  layout and  ambiance of the building and office areas.   The assessor was very impressed with our location.

Galway Junior Film Fleadh - Life Animated

The Galway Film Fleadh have been in contact with us in relation to a film they are showing in the Town Hall Theatre which is part of the Junior Film Fleadh but will also be included in the programme for the Galway City Council Social Inclusion week.

"Life" is a  coming of age story about a boy and his family who overcame great challenges by turning Disney animated movies into a language to express love, loss, kinship and brotherhood.

Life, Animated tells the remarkable story of how Owen found in Disney animation a pathway to language and a framework for making sense of the world. By interweaving classic Disney sequences with scenes from Owen’s life, the film explores how identification and empathy with characters like Simba, Jafar, and Ariel enabled him to understand his feelings and interpret reality. Beautiful, original animations further give form to Owen’s fruitful dialogue with the Disney films as he imagines himself heroically facing adversity in a tribe of sidekicks. With an arsenal of narratives at his disposal, Owen rises to meet the challenges of adulthood in this moving coming-of-age tale.

Director Roger Ross Williams
Cast Owen Suskind, Ron Suskindr

This is a free screening open to everyone but seats must be booked with the Town Hall Theatre ( 091 569 777 ). Donations can be made on the day to Galway Autism Partnership.

Business After Hours

Well its no secret we really love being based in Galway Technology Centre so it was great to be part of the Galway Technology Centre, Chamber Business After Hours (BAH) which was held upstairs in the Mezzanine area last Thursday 29 September 2016.

Galway Chamber have a very active Business Network so there was a really good turnout of attendees, and we got to meet our new neighbours from Mathworks who have just moved into the unit behind us .

There was music from the fabulous  Contempo Quartet and just a great atmosphere with a lot of people lingering on after the main event and networking was over.

Niamh Costello the General Manger of the Centre addressed the attendees and hearing her speak we  felt pretty chuffed to be part of the "40 companies based here,  companies that are full of creativity and ambition and through the smart use of new technology and innovation they are helping to shape the future".

Plans for the redevelopment on the first floor were on display, so we are looking forward to seeing these developments over the coming months

#100jobs Update

Well with kicking off our #100jobs campaign and going almost straight into our Customer Service Assessment we have had a busy couple of weeks and are finding it hard to believe that it is now 6 weeks since the launch of #100jobs

We just wanted to give everyone a little update as to how the jobs pledge is going.  We had two jobs pledged in June, 1 in July and 3 so far in August.  We have successfully closed 2 of the pledges one in June and one in July.  We have shown the detail in the chart below.

We have included the one listed as a CSEI Audit,  as we had a call from an employer and there was great excitement that this was a job pledge but it turned out to be an assessment call!  We don't mind as we ended up getting a whopping 95.4% in our customer service assessment (but more about that next week!)

So far this year including the below detail we have supported 62 people into jobs and we have had 70 jobs pledged. Thanks to everybody who has supported us this year so far and we really feel #100jobs is possible by 31 December 2016

Cantec Donation of a Lexmark Printer / Scanner

Round about January and July every year the new car registrations get really noticeable.  So we were more than a bit chuffed with our latest 162 Reg here at EmployAbility Galway.  Kindly donated by Aidan Goulding at Cantec Print Galway we are proud owners of a brand new 162 reg  Lexmark!  Its actually a Lexmark 310.

This little beauty is a real multi tasking Printer / Scanner / Copier.  We think it does Fax as well but Fax is is something we don't use any more!

At about 6000 prints per cartridge its a really cost effective little printer.  Its fast and we are able to scan straight to email so there is great integrity in relation to Data Protection.  Its lightweight and compact and a perfect addition for a small work team like ours

Thanks Aidan!

Local Papers help to spread the word about #100jobs campaign

Last week was a really busy week  at EmployAbility Galway.  We were invited over to the Saol Cafe Pride of Place judging on Wednesday, final prep was under way to tidy up a few bits and pieces for this weeks up and coming Customer Service Assessment, and we were working away on the #100jobs campaign.  Therefore we didn't get a look at the local papers until Saturday morning.

We are really delighted to see that the Connacht Tribune Group published a press release in both the Connacht Tribune and City Tribune on their business pages.  The Tuam Herald also published an article on the campaign in their news section.  Thanks to all three papers for helping us spread the word throughout the City and  County

If you would like to pledge a job to the you can use our online form at  #100jobs
