On 22 November 2017, EmployAbility Galway will team up with event sponsors Collins McNicholas Recruitment and HR Services Group to bring an exciting event to the Portershed for the benefit of Galway business people and entrepreneurs.  The event, entitled “Teams – The Foundation of Business Success” is an inspirational micro-summit which promises three world class speakers from the local, national and international business arena’s, giving you three good reasons why you need to be there.

One of our three speakers Seónaid Ó Murchadha founder of Amputee Disability Federation Ireland,  has been promoting the employment of people with disabilities for over 20 years.

A graduate of Dublin City University and the University of Alcala in Madrid, Seònaid has many years’ experience assisting Irish employers successfully steer their way towards the greater inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace – whether through her auditor work at the O2 Ability Awards, working in HR at the Rehab Group or promoting diverse employment practices to Irish employers of all sizes and from all sectors.

Most recently, she worked at the Association for Higher Education Access & Disability (AHEAD) on their workplace placement initiative, the Willing Able Mentoring Programme, where she supported employers to recruit and place graduates with disabilities in mainstream employment.

She also presented the RTE 1 television programme  Three 60 and also presented Outside the Box on RTE radio 1 highlighting the abilities of people with disabilities.
