“It’s nice to have something to get up and go out to every day, and to know where you are going. I got to meet more people at work. When you go shopping you know where you are buying from if you want to go shopping in the place where you work, and you have a better idea about what you’re going to get. Work has made me more independent, I’m earning money and I can now buy the things I want at the weekends when I go shopping. When I started my job I didn’t know anybody there, but this has helped me be more confident now when I have to go somewhere and meet people I don’t know.”

"Working part time with a disabillity is very important to me. It gives me something other than extra money, it gives me pride and satisfaction. I have worked part time for years now but was unemployed for the last two. I was depressed and felt of little value that I was not contributing to society and that I had no purpose now that my daughter is reared and going to college. The extra money gives me peace of mind that now I will be able to pay my bills and not get into more debt".

"I want to thank Employability for giving me the opportunity to re-enter the workplace. I went from feeling useless to believing that I could still do something with my life. The support of my job coach helped me tremendously and showed me how I could still make a contribution to my society. With her encouragement and sound advice I found it possible to rediscover who I am and am now a lot more confident inside myself."

"I started work 1 year ago and am very happy now in my job. I would not have found work only for EmployAbility Services Galway. They gave me a chance to work again in great employment and they gave me great support. It was through the Connaught Tribune I first found out about EmployAbiltity Services. They had an ad in the paper which I rang in about and since that first contact they brought me back to work".
