We are a "Supported Employment" service for people with disabilities that are job ready and want to work. We have been funded by FAS Community Services Division in Mervue Industrial Estate, Galway from 2001 to 2011. However since 01 January 2012 we are funded by Department of Social Protection.
We provide support to
People with disabilities in Galway City and County who want to work. This broadly includes but is not exclusive to people with a
- physical disability or limited mobility
- sensory disability including varying degrees of visual impairment or hearing loss
- intellectual / learning disability
- mental health difficulty they are currently managing
- aspergers
- autism
- disability or brain acquired injury as a result of an accident
- disability linked with a health condition for example, MS, stroke, epilepsy
- dyslexia
- dyspraxia
- former drug or alcohol addiction that has successfully completed a treatment programme
Employers in Galway City and County who would like to include a person with a disability in their workforce, both in the private and public sectors including large organisations and SME's, in the following business sectors
