EmployAbility Galway announce new Patron

MUR_8406.jpg

At a recent event in Galway Technology Centre, outgoing EmployAbility Galway Parton Sean O Coistealbha  announced the new Patron of EmployAbility Galway Michael FitzGerald of OnePageCRM.

Michael first found out about us when our Board member Mark Quick approached him about a CRM account in 2014.  When Mark told him about our work Michael decided to donate us a free account for life because he really liked the work we do.  He has pledged to support us by both offering advice and expertise to help us place more clients within the Technology Sector and to help us increase awareness of our service to employers in the  Galway Tech sector.

OnePageCRM has been a fundamental part of the achievement of the #110jobs campaign target, by enabling us to work collaboratively and remotely at the same time and to track all our interactions with employers to provide much faster follow up and customer service to both employers and clients.

EmployAbility Galway Acknowledge support of Patron Sean O Choistealbha

At a recent event in Galway Technology Centre, we recognised the work of our outgoing Patron Sean O Coistealbha  who has supported us since coming on board in 2013.

Sean has been a huge support to us as Patron and has on several occasions spoken publicly about our work on Radio na Gaeltachta and at a number of public events. As well as publicly promoting the work of EmployAbiltiy Galway and linking us with employers in the Conamara Ghaeltacht Sean has also been a committed employer who has provided employment opportunities for 6 people with disabilities over the years.

We were delighted to have Minister of State for Disability Issues TD Finian McGrath present Sean with a gift to recognise his effort, support and commitment, over the last few years.

Míle buíochas Seán le haghaidh du chuid taca ar feadh na blianta.  Tá muid an buíoch duit

Minister announces results of #100jobs campaign

What a fantastic turnout we had for the announcement of the result of the #100jobs campaign! We were honoured to have Minister Finian McGrath join us to make the formal announcement, and on arriving into the Galway Technology Centre, the Minister was both surprised and delighted to see such a busy gathering of Galway City and County business people and organisations come along to support us that morning.

We are extremely grateful to the local business people who worked with us to achieve the fantastic end result of 122 jobs pledged and 101 people place in employment in 2016.

Thanks to our Board members who supported us with the campaign and also to Department of Social Protection our funders

Pobal Conference Report

Following the successful Pobal conference in November 2016 on 'Creating an Inclusive Labour Market', Pobal have now  published  their conference report.  "The report captures the essence of the day and presents the learning that came forward.  It provides a summary of the key messages and a synopsis of the plenaries and workshops."

EmployAbility Galway were delighted to have been invited to attend and speak at the conference, in partnership with Medtronic, who have been strong supporters of workplace diversity and inclusion, and who have supported and inspired us over the years we have worked with them.
